I have a CDHP with a $5000 family deductible. As a result, I try to make the most out of my health care dollars by shopping around for the best value. Frustrated by the lack of price transparency in our health care system, I launched a community search tool called http://www.outofpocket.com to help expose these “secret prices”. The website enables consumers look-prices for routine health care servcies, compare what to other consumers paid for similar services and find the best value — before visiting a provider.
