U.S. carriers to install coin meters on airplane toilets

Okay, so it hasn’t come to that YET…but apparently, using the cost of a barrel of oil last summer as camouflage, the airlines are now going hot-and-heavy on “unbundling”: thinking up yet more aspects of your flight to charge you for a la carte. Headphones, bottled water, pillows and blankets. So really, the potty is the next frontier.

Oil prices have dropped by more than half since the summer. So when are the airlines going to drop the baggage check fees?
