Your time is of no value…or, the U.S. healthcare system

Have you noticed how many doctor’s offices these days make you sign an agreement to the effect that if you don’t cancel at least 24 hours in advance, that you are responsible for an office visit fee? How nice. Here’s what I do. I write in this clause:
